Autobiography
I was born in a spiritually supportive family of four members in Taipei City.
Raised by my father, working in Mingtai insurance company, and my mother,
a housewife, my sister is currently pursuing her Master degree, and I am confronted
by the upcoming challenge of my life.

I graduated from Cheng Kung Senior High School. Since young, I yearned for the
ocean. I was admitted to Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, National
Taiwan University through the recommendation application. In my freshman and
sophomore years in university, I learned fundamental knowledge in Fluid
Mechanism, Thermodynamics, Engineering Mechanics, and mathematics. In my
junior and senior years, I studied more professional topics related to oceanic and
navel aspect such as Marine Engin, Ocean Engineering, etc. I entered the graduate
program in Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering, National Taiwan
University to further deepen and broaden my knowledge in oceanic engineering.
Under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Frong-Chen Chiu and affiliated professor
Dr. Fujino Masataka, I researched the Potential Flow Theory and Vehicle Dynamics.
My thesis combined fish movements and underwater vehicle, utilizing 2-D panel
method to construct the mechanism of vortex in the wake model, to simulate the
propulsive model of fish. During my graduate study, I also acquired Certificate of
the Earth System Science Program, including Oceanography、Ecology,、Geology and
Atmospheric Science, which allow me better understand the ocean and earth
environments.


During my college years, I participated in the competition of Boat-Model contest and
lessons which required observation and research on the design of the protecting
embankment along the coast of north Taiwan. Experience in assisting in the
research project, “on a testing system for ship motions and waves in full scale”, also
improve my skills in conducting field work.

I am an open-minded, confident, and passionate person. During college, I joined the
nature welfare club and the magic club. In addition, I also took part as a cadre
member, which gave me the opportunity to work with all kinds of people. I was
also the graduate representative in the graduate school. I dealt with matters
regarding the graduation, and also served as a coordinator among graduate students.
I have a very good relationship with my fellow classmates, and I always actively
involved in school related tasks, and would always cooperate and be responsible
until accomplishment. I believe that I have passion and confidence to dive into
naval and oceanic related fields. Hopefully I will be given the chance to
demonstrate my merits, and to make progress and improvement together with all of
you.
